Storm Darragh hits the Tuscan coast at Rosignano Marittimo. Commissioned by Surfline, this photographic series follows the arrival of the Atlantic storm and the local surfers who paddle out despite cold winds, heavy swell and water quality concerns. At the iconic White Beaches of Rosignano, where chalk-white sand meets the Tyrrhenian Sea in a landscape shaped by a century of industrial discharge from the nearby plant, the beauty of the waves contrasts with the uneasy legacy beneath the surface. Surfers negotiating powerful sets and polluted waters become both protagonists and witnesses to this raw fringe of the Mediterranean.
